Copdock Weekly Update 12/05/2023

SATS

A huge well done to all our year 6 pupils who approached this week with a fantastic attitude and gave their all.  Mrs Windmill is, rightly, very proud of you all.  Well done.

Chess Tournament

We have 4 students going to Orwell Park on Monday to represent us in a chess tournament.  We wish them lots of luck and hope they enjoy the experience.  Lunch will be provided.  Pupils taking part should arrive at 9:15am for registration and should be free to leave by 4pm.  It certainly sounds like an exciting day.

Menu Change

Our Caterers are offering a change in menu on Thursday next week.  There is no need to pre-order and the cost is the same as usual for those who pay for the meals.  Please see the attached menu for the Heroes Lunch.  Also, we have been informed it will be ice cream for dessert on Monday, not yoghurt.

Induction Session

Next Thursday sees our new families join us for a new starter induction session for parents.  We look forward to welcoming parents of those children starting in September.  They get to learn about our school, if they don't already know, and to speak to staff and understand how the transition to primary school will be handled.

Football Tournament

Foxes will be joining Adders at St Joseph's College on Friday for a football tournament.  Please see the email sent out earlier this week for more details.  There will be time for children to have a hot dinner before they leave at 12:30pm.  If we get through to the knockout stages, they may not finish until 4pm.  Parents are welcome to watch - the College will be putting on Afternoon Tea for parents to purchase during the event.  Please can you confirm if your child will need transporting back to school after the event, or if you will collect from the tournament, if you haven't already done so.  Those participating need to come to school in PE kit with water and snacks.

PTA Meeting

This evening's PTA meeting has been postponed until next Friday - giving you more time to work out how you can help!  Please come along and offer your services for the Community Summer Fayre.
