Copdock Weekly Update 02/10/2020

Christmas Cards
Please see the email sent yesterday from the PTA regarding Christmas Cards.  The form is also on the school website if you'd like further information.  Don't forget to send your entries in by Tuesday 13th October.

Working Together
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the parent meetings this week either in person or virtually.  It is so important that we work together, especially given the current situation.  Please take a look at the attached leaflet, those of you who are new to the school won't have seen it before, but for many it should just be a reminder.  Don't forget the remaining parent meetings coming up next week.

Harvest Festival
Thank you all for your support towards our harvest festival collection this week.  We sent a large box and several carrier bags of donations off to West Villa, a charity supporting homeless families in Ipswich.

Midday Supervisor
If you would be interested in joining our team of midday supervisors please contact the office for more information.

First Class
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the local press will not be running the annual First Class Supplement this year which usually contains a photograph of the children starting school.  However, we have decided to share a photo of our reception class on our school website alongside the newsletter.

Tea Clipper Winner
The winner of our Tea Clipper game with F6 is Taea Griffin who will receive £15.  Ellie Roper won some chocolate as she had G6.  By playing the game, we raised an additional £34 to add to our MacMillan total.

Bikeability
Don't forget Year 6 are taking part in Bikeability next Thursday and Friday.  Please see the letter dated 16th September to ensure you have everything ready on the day.

Free Webinars

We are pleased to share information about an opportunity for parents & carers to join a series of FREE live webinars over the coming months to help support you with the mental health challenges that arise as a result of the full return to school.  Our first set of webinars will focus on the ripple effects of resilience and trauma. These will then be used to highlight issues that can be addressed in future webinars, and build on other resources that have been made available locally.
