Important Information to Share

Vacancy available for lunch server at Bentley school.

  • Working Monday to Friday Term Time only
  • Duties include setting out dining furniture, serve meals to approximately 25 children, clearing down and washing up
  • Working 2 hours a day – 11.15am – 1.15pm
  • Pay - £11.44 per hour

ITFC Author Day
Adders children are on an exciting trip to ITFC next Wednesday to participate in a workshop with author Ben Lytteton.  See email sent earlier this week. Pupils will need to wear school uniform with trainers, they will also need a packed lunch and plenty to drink.  They will leave after registration and return before the end of the school day.
 
Ticket Ballot
Copdock and Bentley have received 15 pairs of tickets for ITFC vs Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday 16th March KO 3pm at Portman Road.  We are offering these to KS2 children If you would like your KS2 child to be entered into the ballot to receive a pair, please respond to the survey on the website - this will open at 4pm this afternoon and close at 5pm on Monday.  If you are not interested or are unable to attend the above game, please do not make any response. The ballot will take place on Tuesday, and parents will be notified before the end of the day.
 
Comic Relief Day Friday 15th March
We are having a non uniform day (wear something red) for a donation of £1. Children may also come to school with a joke rehearsed. The best joke in each class will then be read out in sharing assembly and a prize given. 
 
Parent Consultations
Please ensure you are able to log into Spider as you will need access to be able to book parent consultation slots.  These will open next Friday (15th) at 3pm and close the following Friday (22nd) at 5pm.  If you are unable to attend either of the sessions laid on, please contact the office.  The sessions available are 3:30-5:30pm on Tuesday 26th March and 5-7pm on Wednesday 27th March.
 
Pleasurewood Hills
Thank you for your responses, we have booked this trip for Adders based on the numbers of responses.  Further details to follow nearer the time.
 
WBD plates
Well done to all the children who decorated a plate with a character from their favourite book. All the entries were very imaginative and creative and it was a hard decision by the independant judges to pick winners, but these are the winning children who will receive a prize.

Suffolk County Music Service

Suffolk County Music Service are starting a free Key Stage 2 ensemble after school at Brooklands primary on a Wednesday, 3:45 until 4:30pm.Our tutors already teach your pupils at school, but this is an extra, mixed ensemble opportunity.  This is a totally free ensemble for any of your pupils who are learning an instrument. It will be a fun session playing music together in a mixed ensemble, led by our County Music Tutors. These weekly sessions will run through the Spring and summer term.

REMINDERS!!!!

 
 
KS1 Trip
Reception, Year 1 and year 2 children are going to Colchester for the day next Thursday.  As per the letter sent last month, children need to wear school uniform and comfortable footwear, and must have a waterproof coat with them.  They will also need a packed lunch and a drink.  They will leave after registration and return before the end of the school day.
 
Wolves stay and play
Reminder that we have started Wolves 'Stay and Play' on a Thursday afternoon at 2.45pm, we are alternating year groups and Thursday 21st will be Year 1 - (we do ask that younger siblings do  not attend please due to space and being able to concentrate on your Reception or Year 1 child). We look forward to seeing you
 
Friday morning club
A reminder that for the next 2 weeks Easter club is running on Friday mornigs alongside morning club.  Children not at Easter Club are welcome to attend mornng club still but there will not be any breakfast available for the next 2 weeks due to Easter Club.
 
 
Sleep sessions for parents
Tuesday 12th March 2.00 - 3.00pm - if you are unable to attend this, you are welcome to attend the session at Copdock 2.00 - 3.00pm on Monday 11th March at Copdock. All parents are welcome to attend 
 
Adders STEM Event - Friday 15th March
Reminder that Adders children will be going to Copdock Primary school on the afternoon of Friday 15th March for a 'Go Construct K'Nex' event.  They will be taken by school minibus after their lunch and will return by the end of the school day.

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
