Bentley Weekly Update 29.9.2023
Important Information to ShareSupervision on the playground - Staff always ensure that children in Wolves and Hedgehogs are handed over to the adult collecting at the end of the day. This allows us to hand over the responsibility for supervising the children to you. Please ensure you know where your child is and if they are playing on the equipment it is your responsibility to ensure they are doing so safely. Whilst staff are often out on the playground to chat to parents, they are not there to supervise children once the handover has taken place.
Flu Vaccination - A letter was sent out via email on Monday regarding flu immunisation on Thursday 23rd November - please see the letter to consent or opt out.
Change to lunch on Thursday - It is census day on Thursday and our catering provider are doing a different menu for the day 'Out of this world' - please see the menu attached - there is no need to pre-order and the cost is the same.

REMINDERS!!!!
Christmas Cake Club - Thursdays after school - An email with a form to complete was sent to parents on Tuesday, please complete this if you are able to help or wish your child to join. At the moment we do not have any offers of help and only a few children so it may not be able to go ahead this year. We need to decide next week so please complete the form by Monday. Thank you PTA 100 club - a reminder about PTA 100 club to raise money for school funds - see poster attached for details. Uniform and PE kit - Please ensure all items of clothing that children come to school in, including non-uniform PE hoodies are named. Children do not always put them away in bags or lockers and we can reunite them if they are named. Please could you also check in cardigans/ jumpers that they are your child's as a few have already gone missing in class. Thank you! Adders reminder PE just on Monday next week, packed lunch for Tuesday and Thursday, homework completed and brought in on MONDAY. Dinners - please ensure all KS2 dinners are paid for at the end of each week so a large balance does not build up. Morning Club - Please could morning club also be paid at the end of each week. Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful! Monday 2nd October - swimming for Yr 3 & 4 Monday 2nd October - lunchtime football club - for children who have signed up Tuesday 3rd October - Adders BT trip - see email for details - packed lunch needed, reminder children will be back around 3.30 / 3.45pm Thursday 5th October - Adders class to Tudor Music concert - packed lunch needed Friday 13th October - Adders trip to Suffolk One - information to follow Tuesday 17th October - Mental Health and Anxiety workshop for parents - further info to follow. Friday 20th October - non- pupil day We will be supporting the Christmas Shoebox Appeal this year - watch out for further information coming soon!
