Bentley Weekly Update 18.11.16

Well done to all the children who took part in the fun run in aid of Children in Need. We are ever so pleased the weather held out! A special thank you also to those parents who helped walk the children to the field and back.

Sing Up! At the Royal Hospital School was a roaring success, the children thoroughly enjoyed it and as ever, were great representatives of the school. The children’s performance at the end of the session was wonderful and the feedback from the parents who came along was very positive.

Homework – Years 3, 4 and 5 have reading homework on anti-bullying – this needs to be handed in next Friday.

Christmas Decoration Making – Every year we invite parents to come and join their children in making Christmas decorations in preparation for the Christmas Tree Service. This year we are inviting you to join us for the afternoon of the 29th November from 1pm to come and join in the fun. The Tree Service this year is set to take place at 2:30pm on Friday 2nd December.

Singing at Bypass Nurseries – Another annual tradition is pupils singing at the special Christmas gathering at Bypass Nurseries in Capel St Mary. The children will be practicing songs over the next couple of weeks – we do need to know who will be coming along so if your child would like to take part, please let us know. Children taking part will need to arrive at 6:15pm ready to perform at 6:30pm. It is usually a lovely atmosphere and children do not need to wear uniform.

There are lots of events going on over the rest of November and December. They are being added to the website calendar as timings are confirmed so do keep an eye on there for information about dates etc.
