Top soil for our garden

If any parent is gardening over the next few weeks and has any spare top soil, we would appreciate some for our planned garden area around the playhouse. It does not need to be much but If it could be bagged and delivered we would really appreciate it.

Bike Helmets
if anyone has any spare larger sized helmets that can be donated to school, they would be hugely appreciated.  Children are using the bikes and scooters on some lunchtimes now we have the better weather and we do not have many larger sized helmets.  Thank you!

Balls and play equipment
Please can we ask that younger siblings do not get equipment out of the small storage shed at the end of the day.  The children are very good at clearing the playground of balls and equipment at the end of lunch play and after PE, but they are then finding a lot of equipment out at the end of the day.  Please keep an eye on siblings whilst waiting at pick up time. Thank you for your support.

Parent Consultations
The bookings will open at 3pm today and close next Friday (22nd) at 5pm.  If you are unable to attend either of the sessions laid on, please contact the office.  The sessions are 10 minutes eache and are available 3:30-5:30pm on Tuesday 26th March and 5.00-7.00pm on Wednesday 27th March. We encourage you to bring your child with you to the appointment.

PGL Trip
Please note that the second installment for PGL payments was due at the end of February, the 3rd becomes due at the end of March.  Please try to keep on top of payments if using the installments to pay for the trip.  The installments are set at £35 due at the end of each month, however you can make payments of any amount at any time if you prefer.  If all payments are made throught the website, a running total is available.

Cross Country
If your child is attending the cross country on Wednesday, the school should already be aware of how they are being transported both ways.  Please note they are able to have a hot dinner before they go.  The participants should be collected at 12:30pm from school please.  Please note the event is due to finish after school hours and parents are collecting children from the event.  Participants should wear PE kits, trainers and take something warm and waterproof to wear when they are not running.  They will also need plenty of water with them.

Adders PE next week
Due to cross country, Adders and Hedgehogs need to come in their PE kit on Wednesday (Adders won't be doing PE on Monday so will need to wear their uniform on Monday).  Those not doing cross country will be doing PE with Mrs Robinson on Wednesday afternoon.

Easter Service and bonnet parade
On the last day of term is our Easter Service and bonnet parade.  As in previous years, parents are warmly invited to join us for the service and we are looking forward to lots of creative bonnets on display.  The service starts at 9am, all children are to be dropped off at church for 8.45am as usual. We will be organising a drop off as previous occasions if you are not able to attend, please drop off and carry on so there is no need to turn around and no need to park unless staying at the service. It will last until approx until 10am when we will walk back to school.  If bringing younger siblings, please ensure they sit with you at all times to ensure safety in the church and so that everyone can hear and enjoy the service. (if your child will be attending morning club, please ensure they are dropped off by 8.15am so there is time for them to walk to church with staff.

Dinners
Please could you pay any outstanding balances for dinners by the end of term please.
Please also note that the pasta option quoted on the menus is not offered.  Instead, a jacket potato is available every day - Mon is cheese, Tue is cheese & beans, Wed is cheese or tuna, Thurs is beans and Fri is cheese (usually with some beans).

Every week we encourage parents to support their children to learn and use new vocabulary. In school we will be exploring the origin of new words, what they mean and how to use them effectively in context. If you can encourage your child to use these words it would be really helpful!
