Bentley Weekly Update 10.03.17

Another busy week! Just a brief update this week as there is so much coming up in the next couple of weeks to remind you about.

Parent Consultations – Thank you to everyone who booked their parent consultations so quickly. Despite a glitch with the Adders appointment system, it seemed to go very well with you all accessing your accounts and making a booking. Please make sure you arrive in good time for your appointment and that you bring your child with you.

Wolves’ Trip to Colchester – All pupils in years R to 2 will be travelling to Colchester on Tuesday for a visit to the Synagogue and the Natural History Museum. Children must have a packed lunch and drinks with them and will need sensible shoes as there will be a lot of walking. They will need to wear uniform on the day and must have a suitable coat as we will be eating lunch in the park. We anticipate being back by the end of the school day unless there is a big problem with the traffic.

PTA Easter Bingo – This year’s fun-filled evening is set for next Friday, 17th March. Doors open at 6pm, Aimee Louis still has a few tickets left but not many so grab them while you can. Bit of a mystery to solve – someone gave an envelope with money in for tickets for the event, but the name could not be read on the envelope and nobody has claimed them. If you have paid for tickets but not received them, please speak to Aimee.

Red Nose Day – Wear something red for Comic Relief on Friday 24th March – if your child would like to come into school in non-uniform on the day, we would ask for a donation of £1 to go to Comic Relief. School Council will also be selling cakes at break and after school on the day for 20p and 50p.

Cleaner Wanted – A lady in the village has contacted us to ask if anyone would be interested or knows someone who might be, in cleaning for her. She is looking for someone for 2-3 hours a week. If you or someone you know would be interested, you can contact her on 01473 311814.

Cross Country Competition – Selected children from years 4, 5 and 6 will be taking part in this year’s cross country competition at the Royal Hospital School on Wednesday 29th March. A letter will go out next week to those children taking part. We will need help with transport on the day; please have a look at the letter when it comes home and let us know if you can help.
