Bentley & Copdock Swimming Gala

Well done to all our swimmers in Year 2 to Year 4; you were all fantastic!

The children were excited about racing against each other across our two schools yesterday and really excelled in both speed and confidence. The heats were organised so children could compete against each other at similar levels of swimming confidence whilst also feeling a sense of achievement in pushing themselves to achieve their own personal best. It was lovely to see many parents attending the event and we hope you too can see a difference in your child's confidence since lessons began in September.

At the end of the gala we had time to award the fastest swimmer in each school a medal to recognise their fantastic swimming strength. Medals will also be awarded to the strongest swimmer in each group as part of our assemblies this week and all children will receive a certificate for taking part.

Times achieved were as follows for our medal winners:

Bentley: Jacob 17.54, Ozzie 19.06, Luca 28.81

Copdock: Katie 14.42 sec, Izabelle 17.52 sec, Cassie 26.66 sec

A special mention to Nicholas, who despite being extremely worried, managed to swim the length of the pool without a woggle. WOW, what an achievement!

Well done to everyone!

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
