Bentley Weekly Update 14.10.16

Kingswood Parents Meeting – Children in years 5 and 6 must be at Copdock for 8:30am on Monday morning ready for the meeting about this year’s Kingswood residential trip. They will need to have their flute with them as usual. Please note, there will not be a minibus pickup from Bentley on Monday morning so if you are not able to attend the meeting you need to arrange for your child to be dropped off at Copdock. We still have a number of parent consent forms outstanding, please bring these with you to the meeting if you have not already handed yours in. Thank you.

Open Learning session - 4th November -These sessions are an important opportunity for parents and children to look through work together, review progress checklists and share curriculum review records completed by staff and children. This is the first of three sessions. Parents who have more than one child to see are welcome to come in from 2.15pm onwards. However, 30 minutes will give plenty of time to discuss a child’s Learning Journey so please do not feel you need to come in before 2.45pm if you only have one child. We hope you are able to attend, however, if you are unable to it is strongly advised that you speak to the relevant teacher who will be happy to discuss access at a convenient time.

Harvest - Thank you for all the lovely donations made for the harvest celebrations. All the food donated has now been taken to West Villa, an organisation that supports homeless families in Suffolk.

Chickens – Mrs Nye has very kindly agreed to look after the chickens from Friday 21st October to Sunday 23rd October, however, we desperately need help for the rest of the half term week. If you can help for even one or two days, please let us know. Thank you.

Homework – Wolves’ Where’s Wally project continues, please support your child to log on to the website and comment on the blog about where Wally has been. Years 3-5 have a maths problem to solve in their homework books. This needs to be completed by the time we return to school after the half term break. There are still a number of children who have not completed the 6 maths games set a number of weeks ago now. These games are important tools to help consolidate their learning in class, so please support them to complete this homework.
