Year 4 Sleep Over 14.07.23

Date: 12th Jul 2023 @ 2:19pm

We are looking forward to the sleep over on Friday and excitement is building!  The children have been asking lots of questions so here is the information-

The intention is to have some fun and games outdoors and in
the woodland area, followed by picnic tea (possibly evening fire and songs) and a film night in
the hall. Children may bring a small selection of sweets if they wish. As we also have a water
fight, children are welcome to bring along water-guns to take part in this activity. It is essential
they have a towel and change of clothes / shoes. Please can they also have a separate
bag to put their wet clothes in to so they do not make their other clothes damp.
Miss Cross, Mrs Jordan and Mrs North will be co-ordinating the event, and we will arrange for
Bentley children to be transported to Copdock straight after school on Friday. Mrs Austin will
also be joining activities and Mr Peter Drew, one of our Governors, will also be supporting the
event. The children will all sleep in the school hall and will be supervised by adults managing
the visit.
The children will need to bring the following items into school on Friday morning as the
excitement will begin straight away at the end of the school day.
? Change of clothes for woodland activities (and water fight), spare pair of shoes
? Empty plastic bag for wet / dirty clothes
? bring water guns if you have them
? Toiletries – toothbrush, toothpaste, towel
? Pyjamas / sleep wear
? Sleeping bag/quilt and pillow
? Teddy bear for cuddling at night!
? Change of clothes for Saturday morning
Please ensure your child’s clothes are labelled if possible.
There will be no cost for this event as school will be subsidising food and resources. The
children will be provided with sausages / burgers on rolls. We will also have a range of other
items for the children to eat i.e. crisps, cake, biscuits, fruit, yoghurt and salad.

The children will need to be collected for 9.30a.m. prompt on Saturday morning. We will
provide cereal and toast for breakfast before they leave.

See you there!
