Woodpeckers- Wednesday 29th April

Date: 29th Apr 2020 @ 9:23am

Happy Wednesday Woodpeckers!

Middle of the school week and i hope you are all getting on ok. The rainy weather definitely makes the daily walks a little more interesting- we all wore wellies and raincoats on our walk yesterday which was good fun.

Todays learning is set out on your front sheet and the daily answers for the maths and reading are attached as usual.

I hope all of you year 3's managed to open the Reading Comprehension that was attached to yesterdays blog and also emailed to you all.

I will continue to look at the Weekly Discussion page to see your work/learning. Remember that it is also a nice way to keep in touch with your classmates and see what they have been up to too.

Todays Writing challenge is to write out a recipe of your choice. We made cheese and marmite swirls yesterday as a family and I will write out the recipe and upload it later this morning for you to see.

Make sure you add the steps, using imperative verbs (bossy verbs) and use time connectives to sequence the steps into the correct order. Add some top tips and remember to include a list of ingredients as well as any equipment that will be needed, such as a mixing bowl, wooden spoon etc. I look forward to reading your recipes and perhaps we can have a go at some of the uploaded ones on the Discussion Page and share the final result!

Your afternoon PSHE activity is to design a weekly meal plan- this can be a disussion based activity with one person maybe writing out the ideas. Discuss the reasons for having a balanced diet, what constitutes a balanced diet and how we can make sure that we are all eating healthy.

Have fun and I look forward to seeing examples of your learning.
