Woodpeckers- Wednesday 13th May

Date: 13th May 2020 @ 8:10am

Good Morning again Woodpeckers laugh.

Hope you all had a good day yesterday and enjoyed some of the sunshine- although it was a little colder wasn't it. We went on a lovely walk to the fields behind our house and saw some rabbits, which the boys loved.

I hope you are enjoying the family themed Home Learning packs so far, todays learning is on the front sheet as always and a brief description below for your reference:

Maths Y3- Problem Solving, Y4-Pounds and Pence.

Reading Y3- Meeting Little John, Y4- Journey to the centre of your body.

Writing- Story writing- Have fun with this today and write a story which includes members of your family going on an adventure. Remember all the skills we learnt when we were story writing in class and I have attached a Story Mountain sheet below to remind you of the key parts of a good story. Remember to create suspense and lots of description so the reader can be transported into the story, just like a really good book.

Your afternoon activity is a family based one and very creative so I would love to see what you make on the weekly discussion. The task is to create a Happy Jar/ Box and fill it with lots of happy/ funny messages. We have one of these at our home already and the boys love to add to it as well as read some of the messages that we have put in.

I tried to ring the remaining year 4 children yesterday but had no luck, so i will try again later this morning.

Have a wonderful day and make sure you get out and about in the sunshine for some fresh air. Remember to keep that social distance from people outside your family home.

Take Care and have a lovely day.
