Wolves week beginning 1/2/21

Hello Wolves, welcome to Week 5 of your learning. Our learning behaviour this week is to not give up.

I have uploaded the handwriting jingles that we say as we write each letter, to help those of you who are working on correcting your letter formation. On Tuesday I will upload a handwriting video to demonstrate some letters I want you all to practise on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.

I have also uploaded the writing expectations by the end of Year 1 and the end of Year 2 so you can see what you are aiming towards.

On Monday's discussion I have an extra video about number bonds that I need you to try and practise for 5 minutes every day during your maths time.

Year 1 and 2 maths focus this week is on capacity and I have put a practical activity on each day for you to practise in the sink or the bath, as well as a worksheet for each Year group. If you would prefer to just do the practical activity and then record your learning and not do the worksheet that is an option. I am trying to make it as flexible for parents as possible.

I have also put a worksheet activity for Year 1 phonics each day as an alternative to the phonics lesson video as some of you might want a change to a lesson video.

I have also added some timings to the video for Reception for Literacy to save you having to watch the whole video if your child is struggling to concentrate, you can just skip to the parts mentioned on the plan.
