Wolves 6.9.21

Date: 3rd Sep 2021 @ 5:38pm

Welcome to the first full week of learning.

We will be learning about our 5 senses this week, you might want to recap on this at home.  What can you see, taste, smell, hear and touch?  We are also looking at the body parts we use for each sense.  Our vocabulary words will be connected to the senses and we wwill be looking at poetry about the senses.

In maths we will be looking at counting forwards and backwards and making numbers out of different equipment.  How do you write this number?  How many tens and ones?.

PE Days- Monday and Thursday.

Spellings - Year 1 and 2 children will come home with a spelling book on Tuesdays with their words to copy out in their book and learn to spell ready for a test the following Tuesday.

Reading Challenge - we check reading diaries every Friday and your child gets a sticker if there are 5 reads written in the diary.

Reception Parents - we will be starting to observe your children to see what their starting points are so that we can plan accordingly for their next steps.  We will have to do the statutory baseline assessment on each child, which is a short set of activities around the end of September.  You might like to watch this video to find out more, or read thee booklet below
