Squirrels 31/1/22

Date: 30th Jan 2022 @ 5:25pm

Hello Squirrels,

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

This week our learning behaviour is: have a go on you own.

In writing we will be continuing to work towards writing our own biographies. In maths we will be continuing multiplication and division. In art we will be creating a clothes peg figure as we continue to learn about the human form. In ICT we will be working on debugging. In Science you will begin to learn about the importance of exercise for our bodies.

PE will be on Monday and Wednesday.

Also, just to make parents aware of some slight changes to reading books being sent home. Due to our new phonics scheme in Year 1, the Y1's will now be sent home with their phonics books that they have been reading in guided reading. They will then also be allowed to choose a book from the library for reading for pleasure. These will not be book banded books and can be anything that interests them. These can be read by the children or read to them by someone at home. The Y2'S will still be sent home with a book banded book, guided reading book and will also be able to have a book of their choice from the library for the same purpose as the Y1's.

Homework:

Spellings are in books and on spelling shed.

Maths: Last week we sent home some new CPG Maths books, these are now yours. Each week some pages from these books will be set, this week please complete pages 6 and 7.

Topic: Complete the algorithms sheet in your homework books.

Have a great week!

Miss Barton
