Hello Squirrels, 

I hope you have had a wonderful weekend!

This week we will be learning about length and height in maths. In writing, we will be focusing on narritive pices and starting our new writing topic 'George and the dragon'. In history we will be learning about castles, ready for our trip to Colchester castle next week. This learning will also apply in our DT where we will be learning about mechanisms that you might find in a castle.

In PSHE we have been learning about keeping healthy and last week you planned a balanced plate, deciding on a Moroccan chickpea stew. We will be making this meal on Tuesday and all of KS1 are invited to stay after school until 4pm to eat the meal they have made. 

PE is on Monday and Wednesday this week. 

Friday is also Go purple day, so you are invited to come into school wearing something purple for a 50p donation.
