Hello Squirrels,

I hope you all had a nice weekend.

This week's learning behaviour is: Tune in and concentrate

This week, in Science, we will be learning all about seasonal changes and the weather.

We will also be writing about the weather in our English.

We will be continuing with place value, counting and one more, one less in maths.

Remember to wear your PE kits on Monday and Thursday.

Please make sure you have discussed and signed the home school agreement.

Spellings

In Key Stage 1, your child has access to an internet program called ‘Spelling Shed’. This is an online game that helps your child learn their weekly spellings. I have attached their log in details for this week’s spellings. Alternatively, you can use the look, cover, write, check method using pencil and paper. Spellings will be issued every Friday, for a weekly spelling quiz on the following Friday.

Maths

Every Friday we will take part in the number challenge, working on progressing through the different levels. Please continue to practice for this at home.

Topic –

We have been looking at our 5 senses and thinking about how they help us explore the world around us. Over the weekend, you might like to think about what senses and body parts you are using as you do different activities. E.g.

Looking – eyes, taste – tongue as you enjoy an ice-cream!

Things to continue to support me with at home:

Please continue to revisit previous sounds and tricky words before new sounds are taught in a few weeks.

Thank you

Have a good week,

Miss Barton
