Monday 23rd March Wolves

Date: 22nd Mar 2020 @ 9:28am

Morning Wolves Class, I hope you enjoyed the sun at the weekend and gave your Mum and Nannie a big hug yesterday.

At 9 am, you might like to go on YouTube and search for Joe Wicks, The Body Coach - he is doing 30 minutes of exercise for children every day at 9 o'clock.

9:30am Reading, at least some of this needs to be to an adult, so they can help you decode words you are stuck on, and tell you the meaning of words you are unsure of.  When you have finished a book, you need to retell it to an adult and talk about what happened to check you have understood.  Don't forget the Oxford Owls login if you run out of books. Then some maths - Year 1 and 2, you should have enough photocopied to keep you going for a while.  Reception, you need to practise counting out a certain number of objects and practise accurate counting by saying one number as you touch each one.  What is 1 more?  1 less?  2 more?  2 less?

Then a snack - you could set up snack shop with prices and a daily allowance, like we do in school.  Then playing outside.

Then some writing before lunch - the 'once upon a picture' website, write a letter to cheer someone up.  Don't forget your common exception words to practise reading and spelling, Reception you need to learn the Phase 2 and 3 words (Phase 4 and 5 are an extension, once you have mastered Phase 2 and 3) and practise writing some words by sounding out using your sound mat.  This might need a lot of support adults, but writing some words every day is really important.

Lunch - learn to make your own sandwich or toast!

Play outside.

In the afternoon - do some topic learning (e.g. African animal wiki on the website, make you house model, learn about an African country, or an African animal, persuade someone to visit Africa).  Choose one thing each day.

Don't forget to blog on here or add a picture at the end of the day about what you have done so we can all see - can't wait to see your houses!  Don't forget to add to the discussion on the website to keep in touch with your friends and do some spelling shed, ttrcokstars or numbots everyday.

I look forward to seeing some of your comments on here at the end of the day.

Love Mrs Rudge x

P.S. Happy birthday Erin for yesterday, how was your birthday?
