Hi Kittens,

I hope you had a wonderful weekend! This week we will be starting a new writing unit based on the book 'Rosie's Walk'. In Maths children in reception will be looking at comparing amounts of objects, as well as size, mass and capacity. Year 1 will be comparing numbers using the language of greater than, less than and equal to, as well as ordering numbers from smallest to largest. In Science we will be looking at decidious and evergreen trees and in Geography we will be learning about the UK and its 4 countries.

Spellings are in your homework book and on ed shed, should you wish to practise on there instead.

Please could all reception children bring in spare knickers/pants, trousers and socks, which will be kept on their pegs.

Lastly, don't forget to do your 5 reads this week, which will help our class become readers of the week and will also go towards your reading challenge certificate!

Have a brilliant week,

Mrs. Atkins :)
