Hello Kittens,

We hope you had a good weekend.  

If you have any clean junk such as empty yogurt pots, cereal boxes etc. please bring them into school as Reception children are enjoying making models from these.

Our learning behavior this week is ‘have a go on your own’.

Vocabulary your child needs to hear as often as possible this week:

Reception- a bit,  both

Year 1- environment, diverse

In PHSE, we will be comparing how we do different things with our families.  In art we will be creating a clothes peg figure as we continue to learn about the human form. As scientists, we will begin to learn about the importance of exercise for our bodies.

Homework due next Friday 11th Feb

Reception

-Go on a opposites hunt around your home.  can you find things are opposite.  For example, you might find a hot and cold tap. 

-Only 2 new sounds this week and please continue to use all of the other sounds in your pouch to make words and blend.  We have also strted o learn how to 'chunk' words.  This means break up longer words to help us sound them out.

-Read 5 times at home.

Year 1

-Pg 17 of  the blue maths book - numberline

-Read 5 times

-New spellings are stuck in  homework book 

-Bring a 3D shape into school from home-it could be a pyramid, prism, cube, cuboid.  What can you find?
