Kittens - 13th January 2023

Date: 12th Jan 2023 @ 9:40pm

Hi Kittens!

I hope you have had a fantastic first (full) week back at school. It has been very busy!

In Reception the children have been role playing Peter Pan. As a class we discussed what we already know about this story and what we would like to learn more about. This will be carried forward into next week. In Maths we have been looking at comparing numbers up to 5 by using our subitizing skills.

In Year 1 we have been exploring teen numbers in Maths, started our new writing unit based on the book 'The Way Back Home' and learned about sequences/commands to move a sprite within the app Scratch Jnr.

Homework will be starting back up today. Reception have their phonics sheet, as well as a Maths challenge! Year 1 have their phonics sheet, spellings (which are also on Ed Shed) and a number bond sheet for children to practise. We have also introduced the Maths Number Challenge in class every morning! New books for the week have also been sent home.

Don't forget to read every night before bed too :)

Have a lovely weekend!
