Hedgehogs 8.11.21

Date: 4th Nov 2021 @ 9:47pm

Welcome back to school Hedgehogs.

I hope you had a lovely weekend.

Our learning behaviour of the week is, 'Tune In' and our value is 'Trust'.

Vocabulary words this week are: 'empathy' and 'submission'.

This week we will be exploring the importance of remembrance and our reading focus will be looking at 'Where the Poppies Now Grow', 'Daisy and the Unknown Warrior' and 'The Diary of Anne Frank'. We will be using a video, 'Beyond the Lines' as our writing stimulus to explore how the characters felt during the war, look at real examples of letters sent home during WW1 then write emotive letters as a soldier to a loved one.

On Thursday afternoon, we will be walking to the war memorial to lay our crosses so please ensure your child has a coat.
