Welcome Hedgehog families,

We hope you had a lovely weekend.

Our learning behaviour of the week is, 'Push Yourself' and our value is 'Respect'. 

Vocabulary words this week are: 'monoprint' and 'muscle'.

Reminders:

PE kits Monday and Wednesday, swimming kits for those who need to bring it in on Monday. 

Monday - Non-uniform day in exhange for a bottle of alcohol for the PTA School Fayre.

Please ensure your child has trainers and sensible clothing as they will still be taking part in PE on Monday.

Friday - Family Assembly at 9am. 

PTA Summer Fayre afterschool. 

Please ensure your child brings in a health snack of fruit or vegatables for playtime and they have water in their drink bottles. Also, please make sure your child is wearing the correct footwear. Trainers are for PE days.  

Maths Bags

Please can any maths bags be returned to class next week.

School Council and Head Pupil Elections 

We will be holding School Council and Head Pupil elections before the end of term so please do speak to your children about these opportunities at home. Both roles will require children to reflect on the skills required to fulfil these roles and children will need to deliver a speech to the whole school explaining why they will be a good candidate for this position.

Head Pupil elections will be open to current Year 4/5 pupils. A copy of the job description will be available in the classroom to support applications.

Elections will be held on:

  • Head Pupil Elections - Thursday 14thJuly, at 9am.
  • School Council Elections - Monday 18thJuly, at 9am.

Homework Due in Friday 8th July

  1. Complete Summer workout 2 of the CGP weekly maths and arithmetic books.
  2. TTR twice a week for 10 minutes or try Hit the Button https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button to practise times tables.
  3. Practise spellings on Spelling Shed at least 3 x 10 minutes a week on the weekly words and Year 3 and 4 statutory words as we will be testing the children this week on the final column.
  4. To complete the time worksheet stuck in homework books.
  5. Complete 5 reads and parents to sign ready for Friday.
