Hedgehogs - Wednesday 20th May 2020

Date: 19th May 2020 @ 9:11pm

Good Morning Hedgehogs!

I hope you are well and are enjoying your learning about animals. It was really lovely being able to catch up with some of you yesterday. I am in school today and look forward to speaking to more of you tomorrow.

This week it is Mental Health Awareness week in the UK and this year’s theme is ‘Kindness’. If you didn’t manage to take a look yesterday, there is a Newsround clip below to find out some more information. Remember if you are upset or worried about something – it is OK to feel that way! There has been a lot of change recently and you may be finding that difficult. Please talk to an adult you trust about how you are feeling and know that I am always here too if you want to get in touch!

You could also think about making yourself a kindness jar. You could write down lots of positive thoughts on different pieces of paper about yourself, your family, friends or anything that makes you happy. When you are feeling a little bit overwhelmed you can look at them and will hopefully be smiling again in no time! Alternatively, you can write down lots of kind acts you can do to make someone else smile – see how many you can complete across a week!  (Remember it doesn’t have to be anything too big – passing on a smile is sometimes all it takes!) Why not get as creative as you can and make it as colourful as you want it to be!

Below you will find the Fluent in Five questions for today. Don’t forget to check the answers on Monday’s blog when you are done.
