Foxes 4.12.23

Date: 1st Dec 2023 @ 5:43pm

Hello Foxes

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Our value is trust for this half term and our learning behaviour is improve.

Our words are waxing moon and waning moon.

Here are a few reminders for next week

Monday guitar and PE

Tuesday we have a gymnastics session so you will need indoor PE kit.

Wednesday is PE/homework due in

Thursday I am out of class in the morning so Mrs Lankester will be with you. It is also dress down day for an item for the rainbow tombola. Foxes class have the colours black and white so please try to bring in something in those colours. More details are on the newsletter.

Friday we are watching the KS1 dress rehearsal for their Christmas production/5 reads due in

As some of you have asked about what to wear for ours in the church we have agreed that smart party clothes would be ok. No christmas jumpers/ sports wear/jeans or trainers please.

For the Christmas fayre we will be making small wreaths. If anyone has access to nice holly with berries/eucalyptus branches or other festive foliage we would be very grateful. We are hoping the PTA can support us to buy a new whiteboard for our classroom so any support we can offer to help raise money will be a direct benefit to our class. If anyone has any creative skills in making wreaths and has time to come and help we would be very grateful. We will probably be making them on Thursday 14th December.

You have maths homework this week. As always if you find it tricky please come and ask before its due in. I also asked you to try and find a biography for someone you like, such as an actor/sports person/popstar. You do not need to write anything but just a copy that we can use in class.

You must also have your 5 reads done and your diary in school on Friday. Sadly both our year groups are being let down by those not bringing diaries in or not doing their reading. Last year we were winning most weeks, now we are not even close. As discussed, as it is part of your homework, you will be expected to complete it at break times if you do not do it at home. I will also be checking in with what you have read so please make sure you are doing the reading, not just having your diary signed. This is part of the class charter you signed. Lots of you need to log on to TT Rock Stars too if you still do not know your times tables.

Enjoy your weekend, stay warm and safe and see you on Monday.

Mrs Windmill
