Bentley Weekly Update 13.5.2022

SATs week

Well done to all the Year 6 children who sat their SAT tests this week.  They were amazing and everyone was very happy yesterday when they had all been completed.  Adders are joining Foxes at Copdock today to have some fun playing rounders as a special treat.

Football Tournament

Some of our Adders class are involved in a 7-a-side football tournament next Friday.  Details have been sent to those participating.  Children will be provided with kit but they will need plenty of water, shinpads and appropriate footwear.  Please note, the children will be transported to the event, but will not return before the end of the day.  Parents are invited to attend the event (details attached).  If you are collecting your child from the event, please let the school office know in advance.  Anyone requiring a lift back to school can be collected from approximately 4:30pm at the gate.

Jubilee Celebrations

It's not long now until our Jubilee Celebrations at Copdock Village Hall.  If you missed the menu deadline today, you will need to send in a packed lunch from home. If you have booked a Jubilee lunch on the form, and your child usually pays for a school lunch, please don't forget to send in the cash or pay online before 27th May. Each lunch is £2.50

The Jubilee Tokens need to be purchased either via the website or in cash to the office.  Pupils need one token per child.  For more details please see last week's email with all the information you need on.  Parents are invited to enter the 'Right Royal Bake Off' - if you are planning to enter the competition, please let us know so that we have an idea of how many cakes will be available for our refreshment stall.

Look East visit to school

Adders parents have already been advised, but we are letting other parents know that we are expecting a visit from Look East on Thursday morning to film in school.  They are doing a news item on some of the Ukranian families in schools. They plan to do some filming in Adders class and in the playground with Adders children. It is likely to be shown on Look East that evening.
