Copdock Weekly Update 29/04/2022

The New Norm - A Few Reminders

Welcome back!  As we all try to adapt to a new normal, we thought we'd take the opportunity at the beginning of term to set out expectations and our new routines that are now in place.

  • From Monday, the gate will open at 8:40am with the bell ringing at 8:45am, at which point the gate will close.
  • Anyone arriving after 8:45am will need to be brought to the gate.  Arrival between 8:45am and 8:55am is deemed as late, anyone arriving after 8:55am will have an unauthorised absence mark against the register for that session.
  • If your child is absent for any reason, please ensure you phone or email the office by 9:00am in accordance with our attendance policy.
  • The one-way system at the end of the day will remain in place - please adhere to it enabling a smooth flow.  Please be courteous at the bottle-neck when Kittens leave their area.
  • Bikes are scooters must not be ridden on site by anyone.  Please ensure they are walked to the bike shed and back, or held onto in the playground, not ridden.
  • There will no longer be an office staff member on the gate at the end of the day, if you need to contact the office please call or email.
  • Teachers' email addresses should only be used for class-based, work-related information.  If you are notifying us of an appointment or absence, this must be sent to the school office for the relevant documentation to be completed.
  • There has been a slight alteration to KS1 PE Days - apologies for any confusion caused.  All children need to come into school in PE kits on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Please ensure, when not in PE kits, pupils are in full school uniform, including shoes NOT trainers.  For more guidance on the uniform policy please see the website.  A new uniform order is undertaken in the first half of each term, with 2nd hand uniform available throughout the year & at PTA events.  If you would like to donate any reusable, clean 2nd hand uniform, please do let us know.
  • Don't forget KS2 dinner monies should be paid for in advance, or at least on the day, of the meal being taken.  These are charged at £2.50 per meal and can be paid for in cash (in a named envelope) or via the school website.  Reminders will be sent once 5 meals are outstanding.

Please ensure you keep an eye on the weekly newsletter and class blogs for any variations to any of the above.
