Copdock Weekly Update 23/04/2021

Reminders

Please keep to your time slots when dropping or collecting children - it's important to help us maintain our bubbles and to keep everyone safe by avoiding lots of people being on site or along the roadside.  As a reminder, younger siblings can come into school when the eldest is due in.  Foxes come in at 8:45, Woodpeckers at 8:50 and Squirrels & Kittens at 8:55am - if you find yourself here earlier, please ensure you wait a little further down the road so that the entrance is left clear for those entering at these times, or slightly after them.  In the afternoons, KS2 should be collected at 3:10 and KS1 at 3:20pm.  Again, please do not hang around unless you are collecting a younger sibling.  We do appreciate you adhering to the one way system and wearing masks.  It really is great to have your continued support.

Service

Please see attached leaflet with more details around our current value of SERVICE.

Uniform Update

We have been informed by our uniform supplier that there may be a longer than usual wait for the products as they have experienced delays from suppliers due to the current Covid situation.  We will hand out uniform once it has been received and quarantined.  Please bear with us as we wait.

Volunteers

Following your recent experience of supporting teaching and learning at home, we wonder if any of you are now considering a career in education! At some point in the future, we will be looking to welcome volunteers back into school to support our children. If this is something you may be interested in, please contact the school so we can arrange a time to chat to you about what it involves and pass on our volunteer application form for completion.

Changes ahead

Miss Waterhouse will sadly be leaving us at the end of this term, as she has accepted a full time position at another school from September.  We are currently advertising for her replacement and will be holding interviews in May.  We have not told the children yet so please give us time to do this before you chat to them about it.  We wish her well in her new post and will be making the most of her skills before she leaves Copdock.

Sex & Relationships Education

Please keep an eye out for a letter specific to classes detailing our delivery of Sex & Relationships Education through PSHE and Science.
