Copdock Weekly Update 19/11/2021

Menu Changes Next Week

The kitchen have made us aware that due to delivery schedules they are unable to offer jacket potatoes on Monday and Tuesday of next week.  Jackets will be available from Wednesday.  Now that we have established how popular they are, we should be able to keep up with ongoing demand.

The Week 1 menu will be changing for desserts on a Monday & Friday going forward.  Fruit will be on offer on Mondays and the jammy muffin will be available on Fridays.  Please make a note of this on your menus at home and ensure the children are aware.

Children in Need

Today the children and staff have come to school dressed in bright colours to mark Children In Need in exchange for a 50p donation.  We have collected £45.92 for this charity.  Thank you for your support and donations.

Parent Consultations

If you have yet to book a slot for your parent consultation, please log onto the website, or open the app, and book now!  ALL appointments will be virtual inline with current guidance.  A link will be sent to you prior to your appointment.  The teacher will be aware that you are waiting and will grant you access for your slot.  Please keep to times as best you can to ensure everyone meets their slots.  Apologies for the confusion with year 1 slots and the additional slots being offered to reception children when we reverted to virtual meetings.  If you are unclear or have any issues with booking slots, please contact the office.

Snack Reminder

Just a reminder that children can bring in a piece of fruit for morning snack, but no other snacks are permitted at break time.  Savoury snacks are available from Snack Shop for 10p per item and there is plenty of fruit available in school.  Crisps should be eaten as part of a packed lunch and chocolate should not be brought in.  Please remember not to send in items containing nuts.

Blog Reminder

Please remember to keep checking the blogs on the website for homeworks and to see what's coming up in the week ahead.

Reception Health Screening

Don't forget to return the Reception Health Screening forms by Tuesday 23rd if you haven't already done so.

Christmas Lunch

Our Christmas Lunch will be held on Wednesday 15th December this year.  The menu is attached for your reference.  Please see the separate email with details of how to book via the 'Forms' link - please do not email the office.  We require this meal to be preordered and need replies by Friday 3rd December.  Please ensure you reply via the form even if your child will be having a packed lunch.  Meals can be paid for in the usual way for KS2 children.

As part of Alcohol Awareness Week 2021, Public Health have launched an ‘Alcohol Hub’ on the Healthy Suffolk website, including information on exploring your relationship with alcohol, alcohol and parenting, and how to access support and treatment if required.  We have been asked to share this with you: https://www.healthysuffolk.org.uk/advice-services/adults/drugs-and-alcohol/public-information-support-and-advice-clone
