Copdock Weekly Update 18/03/2022

Dodgeball

Earlier this week, some of our Foxes joined Bentley's Adders to take part in a fast and furious Dodgeball competition.  Everyone enjoyed the event and represented the Federation brilliantly.

Comic Relief

Thank you for your support today.  The superhero/red theme certainly brightened up the day reflecting the sunshine.  Initial indications show that we have raised £48 for this fantastic cause - thank you.

Sponsored Read

Thank you to all parents, family and friends for sponsoring the children's reading.  We have managed to raise a fabulous £708.90 - we hope the children enjoy choosing the books that they would like to buy.

Years 1 & 2 Tuesday

Next Tuesday, all year 1 and year 2 children are invited to stay behind until 4pm as they will have been planning, cooking and eating a Morrocan Chickpea Stew!

PTA Meeting

Next Wednesday sees the latest PTA meeting.  The meeting will be held in person and virtually.  If you are attending in person, please come to the Book Inn for an 8pm start, alternatively, use this link to join virtually.

Don't forget Chocolate Bingo is coming up on 2nd April - please see the attached poster for more details, and use this link to purchase tickets.

Go Purple

Next Friday we are raising awareness and funds for Epilepsy Action.  Children are invited to come into school wearing something purple for a 50p donation.  Cakes will be available from Snack Shop for this promotion.  Please see the attached flyer for more information.

Parent Consultations

These are now available to book via the website.  We are intending to hold these meetings face to face unless you cannot get to school due to work commitments or isolation.  In these cases we will offer a virtual meeting at the same slot booked on the website.  Appointments will be 10 minutes and we would like children to attend the appointment with their parent, especially if in KS2.  This will allow a 3-way chat about successes and how we will work together to support any improvements.

The slots available are Tuesday 29th 3:30-5:30pm and Thursday 31st 5-7pm for all pupils, except Woodpeckers.  As Mrs Collins will be doing all of the Woodpeckers parent consultations, there is a slight variation, the sessions available for Woodpeckers are Monday 2-4pm and Tuesday 3:30-5:30pm.  If you are unable to make any of these times please do get in touch with the office.
