Copdock Weekly Update 15/09/17

Everyone is getting back into the swing of the new term. It’s been a busy week with learning new routines as well as names and faces. The children are all excited about the year ahead. Don’t forget to check the website for information. We will endeavour to keep the calendar up to date and to provide information and dates via the weekly news.

KS2 Dinner Money: Please ensure dinner money is sent into the office on a Monday morning via the register boxes, for either the week or the half term. Lunch is £2.30 per day. Cash or cheque (made payable to “Suffolk County Council”) in a labelled envelope please.

Harvest Festival: Next Friday 22nd is our Harvest Festival Assembly which you are welcome to attend from 2:30pm. This year your donations will be going to FIND to be used in their food banks for homeless families in the local area. Tins, dry food and non-perishable items with a good date on them would be very gratefully received and will be passed on to the charity after the assembly.

Online Safety: Don’t forget there is a free online safety workshop for parents provided by NSPCC on Thursday 21st September at Bentley.at 6pm. If you wish to take advantage of the crèche please ensure you book this in advance via the school office. The children will be having NSPCC assemblies and workshops next week in school.

Box of Chocolates: Don’t forget the deadline for the return of the Data Collection forms is Monday 18th September. These are legally required documents that we have an obligation to collate annually. If you haven’t already done so (many thanks to those that have), please complete the forms and send them in on Monday be in with a chance of winning a box of chocolates.

MacMillan Coffee Afternoon: Join us on Friday 29th September for coffee and cake from 2:30pm. Donations of cakes would be gratefully received – please bring them to the office on the day.

Lunchtimes: We would like to welcome Paula to our team – she is the new midday supervisor and will be covering lunches at both Copdock and Bentley.

The children are eagerly trying to collect stickers at lunchtimes to fill their cards and be in with a chance of winning cinema tickets – see the posters around school for more details.
