Copdock Weekly Update 10/12/2021

Lates

With the mornings getting colder and cars needing attention, please remember that the children need to be at school before the bell.  The gates open at 8:40 am and the bell rings at 8:45 - anyone arriving between 8:45 & 8:50 is classed as late and marked as such in the register.  Anyone arriving after 8:50 is classed as having an unauthorised absence.  The EWOs are monitoring the situation as numbers arriving after the bell has started to increase.  Please make every effort to be here on time, we appreciate there can be unavoidable circumstances on the odd occasion.

Wreath Making

Once again, the PTA hosted a very successful and well-attended wreath making night.  A profit of £893 was made at a very enjoyable evening which they hope to run again next year.  Thank you for supporting this event.

Christmas Lunch

Thank you for your patience with regards the Christmas lunch option this year.  Please note the Christmas Party Bags have been ordered.  If you missed the deadline please ensure you send a packed lunch on Wednesday.

If you would like to hear, and maybe join, our KS2 children singing Christmas songs on Wednesday, please head onto the playground at 2:45pm.  There will be another opportunity to donate to SESAW during the singing.  Please wrap up warm.

PTA Virtual EGM

The Virtual EGM to elect new PTA members will take place on Wednesday evening at 8pm.  Please join them if you are able.

School Dinners Next Term

From January we will be accepting dinner payments via the school website.  To cover the cost of this, we will have to increase the charge to £2.50 per meal.  More details on how to use this facility will be available in the half termly newsletter next week.  However, in the meantime, it would be really helpful if parents could settle ALL outstanding dinner monies prior to the end of term, please.  Hopefully if this method of payment is successful, we will be able to offer it going forward for uniform orders, trips and events, alongside cash and cheque payments.
