Copdock Weekly Update 07/05/2020

Firstly, welcome to our new starters's families - this is our slightly adapted weekly update!

A massive well done to you all and thank you for your continued commitment to learning.  We hope you have a great celebration for VE day on Friday; there have been lots of fantastic banners, bunting and menus shared on the webs.

PLEASE remember if you'd like to order uniform that the deadline is Monday 11th - you can either email your request in or pop it in the post box at the top of the ramp - payment is required at the point of ordering so please let us know in the email when the payment will be in the post box.

If you have not already received your latest pack, we hope to deliver them in next few days ready for Monday's learning.  If we need you to collect we will have emailed you separately and packs will be available on the lunch trolley from today.  Our topics for the coming two weeks are My Family and Animals.

As we await news from the Government over the weekend, we want to reassure you that we will provide updates as soon as we know more about the plans for schools to reopen.  We appreciate that there are still lots of unknown factors as to how and when this will happen but we will continue to support you all however we can throughout the remainder of this uncertain time.

We have been asked to inform you that where eligible, booking tests for children between the ages of 5 and 18 years old is now available on the national portal.

Please see the information below which we felt might be useful.

Re-launch of the ‘30 Day Whats Up Challenge’? Campaign
The Source - for young people in Suffolk, have re-launched their ’30 Day Whats Up Challenge’ social media campaign, where throughout April and May, they are posting daily feel-good challenges on the Source website and Facebook page for young people to do with friends and family to help look after their emotional health and wellbeing at home.
The 30 Day What’s Up Challenge is based on the ‘Five ways to wellbeing’ which are known to support your mental health. These are – ‘Be Active’, ‘Give’, ‘Keep Learning’, ‘Take Notice’ and ‘Connect with others’.
The 30 activities can help young people to stay calm, talk about how they feel, and try new things to stay positive.
Some of the challenges have been adapted or are new for the re-launch to ensure that they meet the Governments guidelines for staying at home. Find out more about the 30 Day Whats Up Challenge Campaign re-launch
