Copdock Weekly Update 06/05/2022

Jubilee Celebrations

Please see the email you received earlier for details of our Jubilee Celebrations to take place on Friday 27th May - the last day of this half term.  Please note ALL children will need collecting from the Village Hall at the end of the day, why not join us for the celebrations and take a look at the stalls when the school day is done!?!  Please ensure you complete the Form to tell us about your lunch on that day.  Adults and children can order a special Queen's Platinum Jubilee Street Party Lunch via the Form by Friday 13th May.  Lunches are charged at £2.50 each and payable in cash or via the school website.  The menu is attached, and displayed around school.  The Jubilee Tokens can also be purchased in cash or via the website.

SATS Week

Next week our year 6 children will be taking part in their SATS, year 5 will also be doing some internal tests too.  All Foxes have spent the last few weeks doing some revision with Adders from Bentley in preparation.  Foxes are invited into school at 8:30am from Monday to Thursday to enjoy a social breakfast before starting their assessments.  Foxes should come into school in their school uniforms so that they are focussed on working hard.  They will need to bring PE kits to change into on Monday and Tuesday.  The breakfasts have been kindly donated by one of our parents - a massive thank you to you.

Staff News

Today we have said thank you and farewell to Mrs Mann who has been our supply teacher in Woodpeckers since January supporting Mrs Collins with the latter part of the week.  From next Wednesday, we welcome Mrs Vanessa Jordan to Woodpeckers as our permanent job share alongside Mrs Collins.  She popped in this week to meet the children and familiarise herself with her new environment.

Newspaper Tokens

Don't forget the tokens for the sports equipment begin to be published in the local press from Monday - get collecting and send them in at regular intervals so that we can keep on top of the counting - thank you in advance for your support.

Uniform Order

It's that time of year again where another uniform order is available.  Please see the attached order form.  These need to be returned along with payment by Friday 20th May please.  Don't forget, payment can be made via the school website, however, we still need the order form to be completed.
