Copdock Weekly News 17/11/17

Sing Up: On Monday, Y5/6 from both schools had an amazing time at RHS for the annual 'Sing Up Day' with the fantastic Dominic Peckham leading the day. We learnt to sing several different songs throughout the day, including 'Freedom' by George Michael (Mrs Robinson's favourite!). The children performed really well and Copdock's Joshua M even got on stage to sing a solo - he was superb and did not hesitate to give it a go. Well done Joshua!

Children in Need: Today the children have taken part in the Children in Need appeal and come to school in their pyjamas and onesies – they’ve not been falling asleep though! We have raised £76.15!

Compassion: Reverend Annette Shannon came into school this week to give an assembly on compassion.

Photos: Children brought their biggest smiles with them on Thursday to have their school photos taken. You should have received a slip from Bentley Photographic. Use the username and password supplied to pre-register on their website, you will then receive an email when the photographs are ready to be viewed – purchases can then be made online.

2nd Hand Uniform Stall: This year the PTA will be running a stall at the Christmas Fayre for nearly new 2nd hand Copdock uniform, including jumpers, cardigans, skirts, trousers, PE kits and plimsolls. If you have any uniform that could be donated for the stall please speak to a member of the PTA, or why not use their email address to make contact - [email protected]. Thanks in advance for your support.

Christmas Cake Club: Christmas cake club launched this week and is smelling great – we are all very excited to see what the children will create this year. If your child is attending please ensure you are aware of the next session as the days are not the same each week.

PTA Update: CHRISTMAS CARDS - There are still some cards available if you’ve seen them and regretted not ordering them, or maybe you need more – contact a member of the PTA to get yours before they run out! CHRISTMAS WREATH NIGHT – The PTA have once again organised a wreath making workshop – for more information go to http://www.copdock.suffolk.sch.uk/serve_file/216114 or see the attachment to this week’s email.

Christmas Tree Service: As yet we haven’t managed to source a Christmas tree for our service in a fortnight – does anyone have any suggestions where we might be able to acquire one as a donation?
