Bentley Weekly Update 7-1-2022

Welcome Back!

Don't forget to ensure children have a school jumper or cardigan to wear - we do have windows and doors open to allow a flow of air through the classrooms as per the guidance, but that does mean it can be cooler in class than usual.  Please also ensure everyone has a coat in school for break times.

Please send in any book tokens you may have as we need them in by the end of next week.

We will be testing keywords next Thursday; sorry we haven't managed to do it this week.   On Tuesday, Year 1&2 will be tested on all of the words stuck on the sheet in their red spelling book, which they have had for the last month.  They are mostly words they have had to learn last term for spelling tests, so this is to ensure they have retained those words and to see which words we need to revisit.  Could I also ask if any children can bring their puppets back into school to do puppet shows with?  They were keen to show you and took them home over Christmas.  Also, please do not send your child in with a toy or a cuddly toy to play with in school as these get lost and cause arguments, so we do ask for them to stay at home.  Occasionally a child may need to bring something in from home if they are upset for a particular reason, but we have plenty of things in school for them to play with.
Thank you, Mrs Rudge

Residential Trip - current Year 4 and 5

We have sent a hard copy of the letter sent earlier in the week via email. Please share and discuss with your child so you can complete and return the slip. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Robinson or the school office.

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
