Bentley Weekly Update 5-11-21

It has been lovely to welcome you all back to school this week. Thank you to those of you who completed learning during our school closure and sent it in. Staff spent a lot of time preparing this for the children and your support was appreciated. As Suffolk is now an Enhanced Response Are, please remember to wear your mask when bringing and collecting the children.

Christmas Club - We need your responses please!

Following a couple of questions about whether this will go ahead or not, I am pleased to inform you that a couple of parents have offered to support this so it will be going ahead with a member of staff, Carlie Fisher overseeing the sessions. We need to know interest in this club so we can confirm numbers and prepare.

The club will run for 4 weeks on a Friday morning starting at 8am on 19th November. The children will engage in a range of craft activities preparing for Christmas and will bring home a gift bag with everything they have made on the last session, 10th December.

Cost to attend the 4 sessions will be £15 and must be booked and paid for in advance.

Sign up to secure your place now!

Remembrance
We will be taking Adders class to the Memorial on 11th November to lead our usual service. Other classes will be involved in a special gathering at school but will be visiting the Memorial later in the day to lay poppy crosses. If you decide to join us at 10.55 am please ensure you socially distance to ensure everyone is safe. We will be joined by flag bearers, Mark and Bob, from the British Legion, as usual and we are extremely grateful for their support of our small service. Please do buy poppies for your children and discuss the importance of this annual act of remembrance.

Wolves class will be investigating hand and sock puppets next week so if you have any at home you can share, please bring them in before Tuesday. Thank you

Adders MUST have their homework books in every day please as these are used to support learning in class too.

As the weather is now getting colder please make sure your child has a coat in school every day. They will be very cold outside otherwise!!

Have a lovely weekend.
