Welcome back

Welcome back!  As we are hopefully returning this term to some sort of normal, we would just like to remind parent of the routines that are in place.  The gate will open at 8:40am with the bell ringing at 8:45am, at which point the gate will close.  Anyone arriving after 8:45am will need to be brought to the main door.  Arrival between 8:45am and 8:55am is deemed as late, anyone arriving after 8:55am will have an unauthorised absence mark against the register for that session.

Please ensure that children do not ride their bikes and scooters into school, they should get off at the gate please.

If your child will be absent for any reason, please ensure you phone or email the office by 9:00am in accordance with our attendance policy.  If you email your child's teacher, please ensure that you copy in the office as teachers do not always have chance to read emails at the start of the day, and we need to complete the registers.

PE Days - KS1 children need to come into school in PE kits on Monday only (they have 2 sessions); KS2 - Monday and Wednesday.  Some children also swim on a Monday afternoon

Please ensure you keep an eye on the weekly newsletter and class blogs for any updates.

A reminder that Monday 2nd May is a bank holiday and the school is closed.

If your child needs medication in school such as allergy medicines or inhalers etc and they were sent home for checking at  Easter, please can you ensure that they are in date and are returned to school for this term.

School dinners

A reminder to ensure that dinners are paid for as taken please, reminders will be sent once 5 or more dinners are owed.  This can be paid online, or by cash or cheque in a named envelope.

Sharing Assemblies

Families are now welcome to join our family sharing assemblies on Friday afternoons at 2:50pm on site. We look forward to seeing you; you no longer have to let us know that you are attending. (We will no longer be offering a virtual alternative.)

School chickens

We are currently struggling to house our cockerels and need to find a home for one quite quickly as they are becoming very aggressive. If anyone can help with this please let us know.

New family in school
We will be welcoming a new Ukrainian family to our school next week with a Year 6 child, Oleh, joining Adders Class. I am sure you will give them a warm welcome.

After School Club
A reminder that Copdock and Washbrook pre-school offer an after school club - see leaflet attached, they are offering a free trial session, please contact them if you think this may be useful for you.

Missing school jumper
Please could Wolves class parents check to ensure they have not got a sweatshirt at home that is not your child's.  One has been lost in the classroom. Thank you
