Mental Health Week - Next week is National Mental Health Week and the theme this year is “Express Yourself”. We would love the children to wear something on Monday 1st February that demonstrates them expressing themselves. Key worker children can come into school with some accessories that express their likes/ hobbies/ beliefs etc.

Children at home we would like you to do the same and wear your “express yourself” item during the Monday assembly with Mrs Collins where she will introduce the week and you can show your clothing to the school. So, for example, they could wear a football T-shirt, baking apron etc. Be as creative as you can, and we look forward to seeing all the ways you “express yourself”.

Festival of Literature - This event is running from the 2nd to the 12th Feb and is a wonderful resource to inspire your young readers at home during this period of home schooling. Vist https://www.festivalofliterature.co.uk/schools-programme/ where you can buy a family ticket to online events for just £1!

Microscopes - We have a couple of microscopes in school that are surplus to requirement. If you would like one for home, please get in touch. They will go on a first come, first served basis.

Free Nature Lessons - The British Fields Studies Council have produced some lovely online learning resources to help children connect with nature during lockdown. They can be found at https://www.field-studies-council.org/primarynaturelive/?ref=email&dm_i=65YE,5EJE,K4PTG,MPLY,1

Parent Wellbeing Chat - We have a few tablets in school now that have been generously donated by our families. If it would be helpful to you to borrow one to support home learning, please do get in touch.

Friday Brainteaser - The answer to last week's riddle, 'what has to be broken before it can be used?' was 'an egg'. This week's riddle is - 'What gets wetter as it dries?'

Finally, attached is a poster celebrating just a tiny example of the lovely work children have been producing. Keep up the good work everybody! Wishing you all a lovely weekend
