Bentley Weekly Update 23/03/18

Parent help needed – We need 3 parents to help walk the children down to the church on Wednesday afternoon. If you can help, please get in touch.

Easter Bonnets – For those of you who are new to the school this year, we have an Easter Bonnet competition each year where the children design and make Easter bonnets and parade them during the Easter service. We then have someone judge the entries and award prizes to the top designs. If your child would like to take part, they need to have their bonnet with them next Wednesday ready for the Easter Service from 2:30pm at St Mary’s Church. The making of Easter bonnets is completely optional and your child does not have to join in if they don’t want to.

Wolves – Years 1 and 2 no spellings next week. All of Wolves are travelling to Empire Cinema in Ipswich on Tuesday for a private screening of Peter Rabbit. All children in Wolves will need a PACKED LUNCH on the day.

Year 3/4 Cross Country EBHS – If your child is involved in the competition next Wednesday, please ensure they have their PE kits and water bottle in school. They will be back by lunch time so there is no need specifically to have packed lunch on the day. The competition is from 9:30am to 11am and spectators are welcome but do need to register at reception.

School Farm and Country Fair – Hedgehogs class are travelling to Trinity Park on Thursday 19th April to take part in this annual event. Please read the email that was sent to you with more information.

Year 6 swimming – After Easter Year 6 will be swimming every Monday for half a term. They will either be given coaching to achieve their end of Primary school goals, or, if they have already achieved these, will be given coaching on life saving to extend their skills. Please ensure your child has their swimming kit with them every Monday.

Computer Science Festival – Selected children from Year 6 will be attending this festival at Orwell Park on Friday 27th April. Parents of children involved will be notified.
