Important Information - Journey to Holy Communion – On Thursday 4th April, the whole school will be involved in a special day of learning about the journey to Holy Communion at the church. Wolves Class will need to be dropped at the church in the morning please, to take part in the fun, interactive stations; they will then be brought back to school by mini-bus or staff car in time for lunch. Hedgehogs and Adders will be walked / transported to the church after lunch to take part in the learning; they need to be collected from the church at the end of the school day please. If you have children in both Wolves and KS2, please drop off and pick up younger children first. Thank you.

Comic Relief – Yet again, our amazing families have shown their generosity and compassion and raised a staggering amount for the charity this year. Including the sale of noses, sponsorship money and donations for the wear red to school day, a grand total of £584.12 was raised!!!! That is an amazing amount of money. Given that we only have 60 children in the whole school, that works out to nearly £10 per child! Thank you all. The children who raised the most sponsorship money in each class were Sophia in Wolves, Kate in Hedgehogs and Isla in Adders. These 3 children alone, raised over £140 between them. That is a great achievement.

Fashion Show - Copdock and Washbrook Preschool are organising a fashion show on Wednesday 22 May doors open 6.30 pm for a 7 pm start. Clothes will be from High street shops M&S, Wallis, Topshop, Coast, Hobbs, Oasis, Phase 8, New Look, Dorothy Perkins, Next and many more. Clothes of all sorts can be tried on and bought on the night. Sizes from 6 - 22 will be available.

All items are at least 50% cheaper than retail price. Tickets are just £5.00 each or three for £10.00 (including a tea or coffee). Cakes available to buy on the night and the bar will be open. Please call the Preschool on 01473 731047 for more details and for tickets.

Baptist Church – Just a quick reminder that the Baptist Church at the top of the road have very kindly said that parents can use their car park at drop off and pick up times. The pub have also kindly agreed the same. Don’t forget, we run a walking bus every Wednesday from the War Memorial; we meet at 8:30am and would encourage as many of you as possible to drop your child at the top of the road to try to help with the parking congestion at the school. Parents are very welcome to walk with us of course if you would prefer.

The other news from the Baptist Church, is that they will be carrying on the bible club that they run on the first Saturday of each month during school term time. The next club will be on Saturday 6th April, 10am – 12 noon at Bentley Reformed Baptist Church. All children aged 5-11 welcome.

Mothers’ Day Messages – As you probably know, the children were asked if they would like to write a special message to their mum / nan / aunt etc for publication in the newspaper. The lovely messages that the children came up with for Mothers’ Day will be in the Ipswich Star on Friday 29th March. We hope you enjoy reading them.

Parent Consultations – Don’t forget to book your slot, to meet with your child’s teacher next week, if you have not already done so. Slots can be booked by logging into the parent area of the school website. Any problems logging on, please contact the school office.

Hedgehogs – A letter went home at the start of the week, about the Farm and Country Fair coming up in April. We have only had a small number of permissions back. Please return the slip or email permission asap. The letter has been put up on the school website, please read it carefully as it has a lot of information about what is needed on the day. Thank you.

Wolves – A new resource from thinkuknow, called ‘Jessie and Friends’ has been devised to help parents teach children aged 4-7 how to keep safe online. It includes child friendly animations to help younger children feel confident about internet safety. The information can be found at https://www.thinkuknow.co.uk/parents/jessie-and-friends/

Able Maths Day – Well done to Jacob, Kate and Leia from Hedgehogs class, who represented the school at a fun and challenging day at Handford Hall this week for children who have shown great learning in maths. They took part in a number of different activities and grew their minds.

Interruption to Internet Services – There may be some interruptions to the internet service in school on Monday due to works being carried out on the line. If you have any urgent queries, please phone the school rather than email on this day. Thank you.

Library Books Back In – Please could you make sure that your child/ren return their library books by the end of next week. Thank you.
