Bentley Weekly Update 19/11/21

We officially launched the start of Christmas preparations this morning with our Christmas Club. The children were so excited and it was lovely to see such a calm and purposeful hall of activity. Thank you to those who helped too.

Children in Need - Today the children and staff have come to school dressed in pyjamas to mark Children In Need in exchange for a donation.  Thank you for your support and donations. We made a fantastic £89.50, well done!

Christmas Fayre
Next Wed 24/11, we are having a non-uniform day to support the PTA Christmas Fayre. Please send in any items for the tombola (drink, food, toiletries etc) or things for the lucky dip (party bag items, toys etc) in return for the dress down day. Thank you for your support ?
Children will also be making items to be purchased and an order form will be sent home next week to prebook - watch this space!
 
PTA Walk to Lapland
We have walked 984 miles from school and have now reached Kopparberg in Sweden! We are over halfway to Lapland already! 
You have all been so active and we love seeing the pictures on the strava group. 
Please ensure Lapland sponsor forms and money are handed in by the 10th December. 
 
Easy fundraising 
The PTA have been granted charity status! 
We are now able to use easy fundraising, an app which allows us to receive a percentage on every purchase made. 
All you have to do is click the link below, download the app and shop as normal through there! 
Car insurance, home insurance, food shopping, Christmas shopping, all major retailers are on there! 
 

Christmas Lunch

Our Christmas Lunch will be held on Wednesday 15th December this year.  The menu is attached for your reference.  Please see the separate email with details of how to book via the 'Forms' link - please do not email the office.  We require this meal to be preordered and need replies by Friday 3rd December.  Please ensure you reply via the form even if your child will be having a packed lunch.  Meals can be paid for in the usual way for KS2 children. Thank you

Cross Country virtual event
As we are unable to take part in tournaments off site at the minute, we will be joining a virtual Cross Country event on Friday 26th November, next week. Please ensure all children come to school dressed in their warm PE kit, with trainers. We will be meeting at the school field so please ensure you drop children off at 8.45am AT THE FIELD ON FRIDAY 26TH not at school. Christmas club children will go up with staff at 8.45am.
 
 
As part of Alcohol Awareness Week 2021, Public Health have launched an ‘Alcohol Hub’ on the Healthy Suffolk website, including information on exploring your relationship with alcohol, alcohol and parenting, and how to access support and treatment if required. We have been asked to share this with you
