Dinner Money – On Monday, please send in dinner money for any outstanding meals and for any meals that will be taken next week. Monday is the last banking day and we need all dinner money to be brought to the office / handed in on the playground on Monday morning please.

Tuesday – All children to be dropped at the church on Tuesday morning please for the leavers’ service. If your child will be at morning club on Tuesday, please let us know as we need to know how many children we will need to transport.

Leavers’ BBQ – This lovely annual event will be on Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Please note, the woodlands will be strictly out of bounds this year; this is for the children’s safety.

PE Kits – There will be no PE next week so PE kits will be coming home today.

Family Service 4th August – Another special Families At Church Service will be taking place at St Mary’s Church at 10am on Sunday 4th August. The theme of the service will be the Holiday Season and will feature Jonah's Story. All are welcome.

Report Comments Sheets - Only a few parents have handed back their report comment sheets which were attached to the letter inside the learning journey book. Staff really value your comments and enjoy reading them. Please send them in next week. Thank you.

Rocket Science Day – Year 4 had a fantastic time at East Bergholt High School this week, taking part in their annual Rocket Science Day. The Bentley and Copdock team won the competition for the rocket that stayed up in the air for the longest! Our sincere thanks to Tony W who took time out to go along with the children and support them. Our thanks to Tony also for giving each of Wolves class a Thomas the Tank Engine book on train safety which we used with a Live Read of the book yesterday.

PTA Update – The PTA are very excited to let you know that an application they made for a grant was accepted over thousands of other applications; Persimmon Homes Community Fund is a charitable branch of Persimmon Homes and they have awarded the PTA a staggering £1000!!! In addition to this great news, we can also reveal that the summer fair made a jaw dropping £1230 profit!! Thank you so, so, so much to the PTA for all their hard work, fundraising for our children here at Bentley. Thank you also to all the families, local residents and friends of the school who supported the event and got us to that amazing total.

Useful Info – There is a really useful guide to parental controls on electronic devises on the school website. It is user friendly and has all sorts of must know info. It can be found at http://www.bentleycopdock.co.uk/page/keeping-children-safe/20713

Volunteers Needed at Bentley Community Shop - A message from Gill Leafe, Volunteer Co-ordinator at the Community Shop – “I would be very grateful if any Mums, Dads and Grandparents could spare a couple of hours once a week/fortnight/month or whenever possible to join our wonderful friendly team of shop volunteers. If you are new to the village it's a brilliant way to get to meet new people. If you think you can help please contact Gill Leafe on 07932746619 or pop in and talk to one of our lovely volunteers. Please help us to keep this valuable asset to our village possible!”
