Swimming Hats – All children who swim on a Monday MUST have their own swimming hat. Children have borrowed hats from the pool before but with the constant spread of head-lice etc, they will not be continuing with this. Every child must have their full swimming kit with them every week. Swimming hats can be purchased from the school for just £1. 

Coffee and Chat – At 1:45pm on Friday 28^th Feb, all parents and carers are warmly invited to come along to the next Coffee and Chat session with Mrs Rudge. This is your opportunity to find out about how our curriculum is taught, ask questions and make suggestions. This will be followed by the shared learning in class for this term from 2:15pm. 

Basketball Competition – Selected children from Adders class will be representing the school at the forthcoming basketball completion to be held on Tuesday 11^th Feb. Parents of those children taking part will receive an email very shortly with the details. Children taking part will need a packed lunch on the day. Good luck Adders! 

Literacy – It has been ever so encouraging to see just how many children achieve their 5 reads each week and how much support they get at home with this and practicing spellings. However, there are still some children that are not getting as much from their home learning as they might. We know that sometimes children can be reluctant to read and practice spellings, but having that time at home, reading with parents and carers makes such a huge difference. Please speak to your child’s class teacher if you would like any tips or support with this. 

Wolves Tea Party – Wolves Class will be holding a tea party in the afternoon of Wednesday 12^th Feb. We have invited local residents to come and share their memories of childhood in the 50s and 60s. We would love to welcome grandparents too! If your child’s nan or grandad can make it, please let the school know so we can have an idea of numbers. 

Tag Rugby Rescheduled – Reminder - the Tag Rugby tournament that had to be cancelled before Christmas has now been rescheduled for Monday 9^th March. Those children in Adders who were due to take part last time will be the same children attending this time.
