Morning Arrivals – The morning arrival process has been running much, much more smoothly over the last couple of weeks. Thank you all! Thank you also for being so conscientious about wearing a mask at drop-off and collection times; this safety measure needs to stay in place for now please. A few people have asked about the easing of restrictions from 17th May, and while we are excited about moving ahead, our priority is still to keep our children and families safe.

Parent Consultations – 10 minute sessions will be available at different times the week commencing 24th May, for you to be able to speak to your child’s teacher via Teams. Please make sure you are able to access your parent logins on the school website, or download the School Spider App, as parent consultation slots will be available to book online from today.

Year 6 Induction Day Year 6 pupils who are transitioning to East Bergholt High School in September will be having their induction day at the High School on 12th July. Please respond to the email from EBHS if you have not already done so.

Dinner Menu – Don’t forget, on Thursday we have the Special under The Sea themed lunch for those of you who pre-ordered. If you did not order a meal for your child, THEY WILL NEED TO BRING A PACKED LUNCH. On Friday the menu will be pizza or cheese and onion pasty, this can be ordered in the morning as usual.

PTA Meeting – PTA meeting tonight at 8pm on Zoom - Open to all, come along and hear what events we are planning. Please copy and paste the link below to join:

Word Cloud – Thank you so, so much to all those families who have sent in the words they would use to describe their child’s experiences here at Bentley. We need some more words and idea though, so please email in your descriptive words for our Word Cloud and ideas of how we can promote the school further afield.

Summer Football Camp – There has been an excellent response to the one-day football camp taking place on our school field on the 1st of June. There are still a few spaces remaining. Open to all year groups! This day is only open to children of Bentley and Copdock Primary Schools.

New Class Footballs – A big thank you to Kayleigh-Anne in Hedgehogs who has given a living example of our value at the moment of ‘Service’. Kayleigh-Anne thought about the trouble at break times with football and has bought 3 brand new footballs, a different one for each class, that will hopefully be cherished and looked after.

Please name everything!!!! – We are currently drowning in requests to help children find missing items of uniform, Please, please, please ensure every item of clothing is named and please check at home in case your child has brought somebody else’s jumper / cardigan home by mistake. Thank you.

Year 4 Activity Evening – We are planning a fun activity evening for pupils in year 4 to replace the traditional Year 4 sleepover that we usually have. Watch this space for more details as they are finalised.
