Bentley Weekly Update 07/09/18

We survived the first 2 days back!

Parent Teacher Chats – There will be meetings over the next week for parents to be able to drop in and find out more about expectations in learning this year and other information about the school year for each class. The meetings will be held in the school hall as follows:

Wolves – 3pm Monday 10th September

Hedgehogs – 2:45pm Monday 10th September

Adders – 3pm Wednesday 12th September

One Page Profiles – Children have been busy designing their one page profiles; please could you help your child complete these at home and then bring them back in to go in their learning journeys. Thank you.

Votes – Eco Council elections will take place on Thursday next week. The focus this year will be on waste plastic and recycling. Sports Crew elections will take place on Wednesday. If your child would like to stand for either group, please encourage them to think about what they would like to say in assembly before the vote or produce a poster showing why they should be elected.

Homework – All children need to start reading again and recording these reads in either their reading records or log books. Years 1-2 have spellings to learn for next Thursday. Years 3-4 need to cover their homework books. Years 5-6 also need to cover homework books and start learning the first column of their spellings sheet (in their homework books).

Tapestry Accounts – To all parents of children in current Year 1; please log on to your Tapestry account and download your child’s learning journey before 5th October. After this date, they will be deleted.

Change of Menu – Next Tuesday will be savoury mince and rice, rather than the teriyaki. This is not a permanent change.
