Bentley Weekly Update 04/09/2020
Welcome back to school!
It was lovely to see all the children at the gate this morning with their smiles.
Thank you to the many of you who walked this morning. It really helped the line up at the pedestrian gate.
The children have all settled very well back into school and we can't wait to see them all again on Monday. See the class blogs for a bit more of an update from each class. These can be found on the top of the website if using a computer or if on the app, you need to scroll to the bottom.
We are really pleased that most of our planning ran very smoothly today but as always there are a just a couple of things we thought important to update you on...
- please try to arrive at the correct time for your children to enter school. We know this is a challenge and until today you may not have known the time you needed to leave. Mrs Gunn will be on the gate from 8.40am.
Adders 8.45am Hedgehogs 8.50am Wolves 8.55amIf you have children in both KS2 classes they can go in together at 8.45am and can line up together at the gate. Y3/4 will not go in until 8.50 to give Adders chance to clear the path. We will have a cone out on Monday to allocate where Hedgehogs should begin their line if they arrive slightly early. KS1 will remain with Mrs Gunn at the gate until 8.55am.
- We really do encourage adults to wear face coverings at drop of or pick up but most important is maintaining a 2m distance from other adults outside of your household. We are working hard to maintain class bubbles and we need your support to keep our school community safe and protected from COVID as much as possible. We don't want a school closure or any unnecessary illness.
Children do not need to bring or wear face coverings to school as per government guidance.
- Don't forget a raincoat EVERY day as we will go out to play, as well as a REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE.
- Snacks must be healthy and any food brought in must be nut and peanut free.
PE days - don't forget to come dressed ready please
Wolves - Mondays and Thursdays
Hedgehogs - Mondays and Wednesdays
Adders - Tuesdays and Fridays
Lunches
For the next 2 weeks Wolves class will be able to choose from the hot menu. Hedgehogs and Adders will be able to choose from the packed lunch menu. This will then swap around.
