Bentley Weekly Update 04/05/18

PE Kit, Drinks Bottles and Sun Hats – A large number of children did not have complete PE Kits this week, in particular, appropriate footwear. Please ensure your child has a complete PE kit in school, a drinks bottle every day, and as the weather is getting warmer, a sun hat to give them some protection when we are outside doing sports. Thank you.

Health Bingo – All children will be coming home today with a letter about the Government’s 30/30 approach to increase children’s activity and a Bingo card for children to have some fun while thinking about their health. We look forward to giving out lots of prizes to children who complete their Bingo card. The free Active School Sessions start next Tuesday, 8th May at 8:30am and will run every Tuesday and Wednesday morning before school.

Year 6 – Next week is the final week before SATs commence on Monday 14th May. Please continue to support your child’s learning at home. We will be running a special, free, breakfast for children in Year 6 from 8:30am from Monday to Thursday of SATs week; so far only three parents have replied to confirm their child will be coming to this. If you would like your child to take part, please email the school office or speak to Mrs Robinson.

Wolves – Wolves class would like to say a huge thank you to Laura’s Mum, Sharon, for giving up a whole day to come and help them and Squirrels at Copdock with their current topic. Sharon was really interesting and gave us lots of information to help with our learning. As ever, we are always grateful to hear from parents / grandparents / other family members who can spare us some time to enhance our learning.
