Bentley Weekly Update 03/09/21

Learners of the Week - Words of the Week - Values Certificates

All these favourites will return next week!

Welcome Back! – It was so lovely seeing all the children return today after the summer break. We all hope you had a chance to enjoy time together in your families and had the chance to recharge those batteries after another difficult year.

Swimming is Coming – All children in years 3 and 4 will be swimming every Monday this term from Monday 13th September. Please look out for the letter coming home next week with more details. Next Monday, 6th September, Hedgehogs will have PE so will need to come in their PE kit just for that Monday.

Assemblies - Family Assemblies will recommence?each week?on a Friday afternoon at 2.50pm,?where we will celebrate learning and successes together.?Adults are welcome to attend these weekly assemblies in person throughout the year or join us virtually through our Teams link. A rota of when each child will be sharing their learning will be sent out next week. Each class will also lead an assembly at some point in the year, so look out for these dates. Our goal continues to be actively encouraging all individuals to have high expectations of themselves and others, be positive and resilient in their approach and to challenge themselves in their learning. Please celebrate any new learning with your child at home and recognise their efforts to take responsibility and work hard to overcome any challenges they may face.

PE Days – When your child’s class has PE, please send them into school already in their PE kits. PE days are:

Wolves – Mondays and Thursdays

Hedgehogs – Fridays

Adders – Mondays and Fridays

And Finally – We have lots of new faces in school today. A HUGE Bentley welcome to Adelaide, Phoebe, Mason (joined us at the end of last year), George, Raffy, Eliza, Otis, Ralph, Roman, Olivia, Amy and Austin.

Welcome to the Bentley Family!

Bentley School's Christian Ethos

"Know that I am with you always," Matthew 28:20 We encourage the spiritual, social, moral and cultural development of the school family by embedding Christian values into everyday life. Our vision is for all children to be confident individuals, successful learners and responsible citizens who are well equipped for future life, knowing that God is with them always.
