Bentley Weekly Update 24/04/2020

We hope this email finds you all well.

Well done for all your hard work this week, children and adults, you have all been super learners and extremely determined!

We are hoping to continue with our weekly updates to celebrate everyone's hard work during these challenging times. I am also hoping to upload a short weekly video to share a story with the children, click here to see today's story or see the 'discussion' tab once logged into the school website. Your child will be able to see it from their home page so please be mindful that it is uploaded via youtube. You may wish to use this https://www.youtubekids.com/ to set up a safe account for them.

It has been lovely seeing some of the creative learning being posted on the discussion pages or sent in by email. We hope you have enjoyed completing some of the tasks set as a family and using ideas of your own to explore science experiments or cooking recipes. Learning is not just about sitting at a table and so we want you to encourage the children to be up and about trying new things or learning new skills too. Perhaps test out sewing skills with an old sock and a few buttons!

Reception have also got lots of things to see on Tapestry, so don't forget to log in.

School continues to be open for a few key workers and vulnerable children and staff are attending on a rota to ensure support is available where required.
Some new resources and contacts to support well-being have been added to the website this week here

I know some of the children will be missing our learning and sharing on values. We have attached a reflection for the coming week that will support children to explore the idea of 'community'. This is a Christian based resource which includes some lovely things to make and do, with prayers too if you wish to use them.

Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
